Obituary for James Cook

James  Cook
James Joseph Cook, 83, of Altoona, FL passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. He was born to Roy Andrew Cook and Ada Jones in El Dorado, KS. He worked for the government as a City Manager. He was a member of the Episcopal Church family, a member of the Elks Lodge at the Dustin Lodge in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and a member of the International City Managers Association.
He is survived by his loving wife: Martha, Altoona, FL; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons: James Cook (2000) of New Haven, CT and David Cook (2015) of West Haven, CT.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Lakeview Terrace Healthcare Center with Pastor William Peters and Dick LaBud of Saint Thomas Episcopal Church officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Disease Association.
