Charles Elmer Bunnell, 97 of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away May 2, 2018. He was born in Leesburg, FL on Sept. 14, 1920 and lived most of his life in Leesburg, graduating from Leesburg High School, Class of 1940 and going on to proudly serve his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corp. He returned to Leesburg and worked for Coca Cola Company Foods Division for over 20 years and was very active with the VFW Post in Leesburg for many years, serving as Commander and running BINGO. After retiring, he relocated to St. Petersburg, FL to be near his daughter and son. In St Petersburg he worked for Central Parking System part time to keep himself busy until he finally retired for good at 94 years old! He is predeceased by his wife Naomi and son Ronald. Survivors include: his daughters Bonnie Bunnell, St Petersburg and Linda Wise (Eddie), Weirsdale; grandchildren Brandy Osborn (Beau) and Justin Wise (Denice); as well as 8 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A Committal Service including Military Honors will be conducted at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at 2 PM.
