Dr. Howard T. Morse, Jr.
Dr. Howard T. Morse Jr. passed on peacefully in The Villages, Florida at the age of 84.

Howard was born to his parents Howard and Ella Mae Morse the month of December 1932 in Takoma Park, Maryland. He grew up as the youngest of two children and is survived by his sister Dolly Wasli in Laurel, MD. In addition, he is survived by his six children Howard Morse III and wife Eileen in San Diego, CA; Pamela Garvin and husband Raymond in Claremont, CA; Adrienne Henderson and husband Michael in Santa Rosa, CA; Roxanne Farrow and husband Jim in Summerfield, FL; Steven Wroblos and wife Jennifer in University Place, WA; and Paul Morse and wife Celeste in Enterprise, AL. He has 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In 1954, he entered Loma Linda Medical School in Riverside, CA with a specialty in anesthesiology. In 1955, he married Arlene Calvert in Takoma Park, Maryland. After graduating from medical school he completed his residency in California, fellowship in Pennsylvania, and then they settled in Glendale, CA.

During his professional career he was the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and led the Residency Training Program at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. He chaired the Department of Anesthesia, was head of the Assisted Respiratory Unit at Rancho Los Amigos, and served as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia at the University of California at Irvine. He authored and co-authored 22 scientific literature articles and traveled the professional lecture circuit. During this time, he joined the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department as a reserve deputy where he served and worked up to the rank of Lieutenant with the Search and Rescue Team. He also had a passion for flying which translated into having flown across the United States numerous times as a private pilot.

Later in life he met and married Bobbi Wroblos, who worked as an RN and Physician Assistant at the La Vina Respiratory Hospital. They worked together in surgery at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. In 1992 they retired from medicine, and in 1993 moved to Port Ludlow, WA. Later in 2003, they moved to The Villages in Florida. They enjoyed traveling, frequent visits with family and friends, as well as spending time at their timeshare in Cancun.

Outside his professional and academic accomplishments, his single most significant achievement was his children as his legacy to the future.
