Connie Winsko of The Villages, FL, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Constance was born February 10, 1938 to Lawrence & Martha (Rudolph) Hoover in Patton, Pennsylvania. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Physics Department at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia and for Fridays Staffing Services in Asheville, North Carolina before her retirement.
Connie loved playing pickleball, shuffleboard, and dancing in the squares with her husband. As part of their morning ritual, they did the daily newspaper puzzles together, and she enjoyed playing her favorite games on her iPad.
She had a passion for decorating her home inside and outside and enjoyed working in her and her husband’s beautifully wooded backyard when they lived in Asheville, North Carolina.
Her three grandsons were her pride and joy.
She became an avid book reader who belonged to a neighborhood book club.
She felt blessed to have a very special neighborhood with such a supportive group of friends.
She enjoyed cooking and was a very creative person with many skills.
Most notably, she had a positive, pleasant outlook on life with a kind and loving personality and was adored by everyone she knew.
She is survived by her husband: Donald Winsko of The Villages, FL;
daughters: Lynn Winsko of Gray, GA; Marcia Winsko Reynolds (John) of Richmond Hill, GA; grandsons: James Foster Reynolds, Samuel Winsko Reynolds, & Mathew Chandler Reynolds; sister: Joann Ligda (Ed) of Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, FL at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL following the Mass at 1:00 p.m.
