Marjorie Shuler, 96, left us on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 surrounded by her family at her home in Astor, Florida.
Marjorie was born on September 30, 1921 in Michigan to Paul Griswold and Ethel (Moe) Richardson. Marjorie was a long time resident of Astor and can be remembered as the former owner-operator of Jamie’s Drive In on State Road 40.
Marge was a member of First Baptist Church of Astor, part of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and a Lioness in the Lions Club International. Marge enjoyed dancing with Valerie’s Rockettes and showing off her impressive accumulation of collectible cars and other great finds.
She is survived by her daughters Marge (Pudge) Porter, Martha Kay (Thomas) Shaw, Anita Sweat, Benita Botsford and Jamie (Jeff) Hall. Surviving grandchildren are Norman, Tammy, John, Tanner, Dawn, Sara, JJ, Angie, Stephanie, Jeffrey and Jesse. Great grandchildren are Genny, Nicole, Corey, Chris, Kevin, LD, Chago, Jordan, Seth, Drake, Tanner, Austin, Tucker, Kylie and Tatum. Great great grandchildren are Nolan, Quinn, Kiah, Peyton, Brayden, Trinton, Colton, Travin, Skylar, Jesse, Bryson, Rosalie and Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy, granddaughter Marsha, father of her children James Botsford, great granddaughter Chelsea and son-in-law Dan Porter.
Services will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Astor: Visitation on Sunday, December 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 and Funeral on Monday, December 4th at 3:00 with interment immediately following at the Astor Park Cemetery.
