Jimmy Edward Rozar, 82, of Groveland, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, FL. He was born in Bushnell, FL on January 25, 1935 to Luther and Reba Rozar. He grew up and raised his family in the Sloans Ridge area, near Groveland, FL. He provided for his family by farming, logging and raising cattle. He was a member of Tuscanooga Baptist Church where he worshipped God with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Sue Rozar; three children, Jimmy Dale Rozar, Carol (Mike) Mayer and Belinda Sue Rozar all of Groveland, FL; two grandchildren, Kerri (Max) Allen and Dustan (Kristin) Mayer; three great grandchildren, Brayden Allen, Emily (Millie) Mayer and Dylan Mayer; his siblings, Luther L. Rozar, Jr. of San Antonio, FL, Mary Sue Rozar (Mike) Brewer of Leesburg, FL, William “Billy” Rozar (deceased) and Vicki of Groveland, FL, Paul Everette Rozar of Groveland, FL and Clyde Stephen Rozar of Steinhatchee, FL.
Services will be held at Tuscanooga Baptist Church in Groveland, FL on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 3:00 pm with visitation for the family starting at 2:00 pm and friends and neighbors from 2:30 to 3:00 pm. Burial will be in The Tuscanooga Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cornerstone Hospice at The Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, FL.
