Obituary for Judith Van Haverbeke
Judith Lee Van Haverbeke (Hughes) 79, The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017. Judith was born on October 23, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Elizabeth Hughes (Pisa) and Ralph Hughes.
Judith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a beautiful heart and giving soul. Judith loved people and made friends everywhere she went. Her passions included playing cards with family and friends, researching the family tree, attending her clay/pottery club as well as supporting the table tennis club in The Villages. Judith also had a great sense of humor! In addition to raising a family, Judith was also a Real Estate agent for Century 21 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Judith had a love of sports and was an avid Notre Dame and Michigan football fan.
Judith was preceded in Death by her mother Elizabeth Pisa, step father Joseph Pisa, father Ralph Hughes, sister-Carolyn Donohue and granddaughter Brittany Lee.
Judith is survived by her husband, Neal Van Haverbeke, her children including Sean (Deb) Macken, Timothy (Tanya) Macken, Kelly (Daren) Marble and Kathleen Macken. Grandchildren include Nicole Drallette, Brendan (Jessica) Drallette, Natalie Drallette, Shane Macken and great grandson Keane Drallette. Judith is also survived by her brothers David (Angie) Hughes and Michael (Theresa) Hughes.
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N. US Highway 441, Lady Lake, Florida 32159. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Marion County Humane Society in Judith’s memory.
