Obituary for Nell Beasley
Nell Saltz Beasley, 94, passed away August 6, 2017. Born June 26, 1923 in Jackson, AL but moved to Montgomery, AL at an early age. She married Carlos (Carl) Beasley of Andalusia, AL in 1944 during WW11. He became a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps for the next 25 years and they lived in many places including Nome, Alaska when it was still a territory, Germany, France and ten other states. They retired to Leesburg, FL in July 1967 from Washington D.C.
Nell was a homemaker and very active in school affairs, Chapel, Officers Wives Club, Charities and was a Boy and Girl Scout Leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lt. Col. Carlos O. Beasley. Survived by a son, Richard W. Beasley and wife Candy of Boiling Springs, S.C., daughter, Jan B. McCullers and husband Bob of Tallahassee, FL; Four grandchildren: Laura M. and husband Mike Mikos of Birmingham, AL, Lindy McCullers of Birmingham, AL, Cole Beasley of West Palm, FL, Leigh B. and husband Carter Johnson of Atlanta, GA and two Great Grandsons, Jackson and Jennings Mikos of Birmingham, AL.
Funeral will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, Thursday August 10th at 5:30 pm.
